Description

For advanced Raspberry Pi 3/4 (RPI) models, adding a cooling solution is essential to maintain optimal temperatures.

This addon board features a small fan that can be controlled via RPI GPIO 12 or the on-board LM75 temperature sensor, activating the fan only when the temperature rises.

  • On-board DC-DC power module and standard DC jack allow conversion from 5.6-14V to a 5V 4A output. It powers the Raspberry Pi and fan, and includes an output terminal for other devices.
  • Output via a 3.96mm cable terminal; the connector and socket are separable.
  • On-board power LED and power ON/OFF switch.
  • On-board LM75 temperature sensor, interfaced via the Raspberry Pi IIC bus.

Note: When using this board with an external 12V power supply connected to the DC jack, do not use micro USB power simultaneously, as this may damage the board.

Demo code see here, in the fan folder. You can use the nohup command to run the script in the background for long-term operation.
