Features:

  • A simple infrared shield including transmitting and receiving functions, allowing IR signals to be received, stored, and replayed. This workflow acts as a recording, enabling you to replace the remote controllers of your domestic appliances with Arduino!
  • Two programming LEDs and two programming buttons, plus an extra 'SEND' LED connected in series to the infrared transmitter. Whenever the transmitter is active, this LED blinks. See the pin definitions on the wiki page.
  • Supported by the Arduino IRremote library.
  • Note: all IR signals can be read, but not all can be "recognized" by the code (e.g., NEC codes). Some signals will only be read and identified as "raw" data and may not be reproducible. This is a code limitation; please test it yourself.
