The Grove Barometer Sensor BMP085 measures atmospheric pressure and temperature via I2C. Compatible with 3.3V and 5V logic, it offers precision up to 0.03 hPa for weather, navigation, and altitude applications.
The Grove - Barometer Sensor (BMP085) module provides accurate measurement of atmospheric pressure and temperature. Although the Bosch BMP085 chip natively operates between 1.8 V and 3.6 V, this module includes a level-shifting circuit that ensures compatibility with both 3.3 V and 5 V logic levels, making it directly usable with Arduino, Seeeduino, and other Grove-compatible platforms.
Communication is handled via the standard I2C interface using the 4-pin Grove connector. The sensor covers a wide pressure range of 300 hPa to 1100 hPa, corresponding to altitudes from -500 m to +9000 m above sea level. It is particularly suitable for applications requiring precise pressure detection, such as GPS-assisted navigation, local weather forecasting, and vertical velocity tracking.
