BMP085 (GY-65) digital barometric pressure sensor module with I2C interface. High accuracy up to 0.03 hPa and low power consumption, ideal for altitude measurement and weather projects on Arduino.

Quantity

The GY-65 module integrates the Bosch BMP085 digital barometric pressure sensor. This component offers high absolute accuracy up to 0.03 hPa and minimal power consumption, drawing only 1 μA in standard mode. It communicates via the I2C interface, making it ideal for microcontrollers such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi.

Beyond atmospheric pressure measurement for weather applications, the BMP085 is commonly used to determine altitude. It allows detecting level changes, for example by counting floors ascended or descended, by calculating pressure variations between two points.

Specifications

  • Pressure range: 300 - 1100 hPa (equivalent to an altitude of 9000 m to -500 m)
  • Supply voltage: 1.8 V - 3.6 V
  • Communication interface: I2C
  • Accuracy: resolution of 0.03 hPa (approx. 0.25 m) in high linearity mode
  • Power consumption: 1 μA in standard mode, 0.1 μA in standby
  • Built-in temperature output for compensation
  • Ultra-compact LCC8 package (5.0 mm x 5.0 mm x 1.2 mm)
