This Grove V3 capacitive touch sensor (MPR121) features 12 independent electrodes for touch, proximity, and capacitance detection. It connects via I2C and supports cascading for expanded channel count.
The Grove - 12 Key Capacitive I2C Touch Sensor V3, based on the MPR121 integrated circuit, is a multi-channel capacitive touch sensor offering three detection modes: capacitance measurement, touch sensing, and proximity sensing.
This module features 12 independent electrodes with built-in autoconfiguration. Thanks to the I2C interface, you can query all keys via a single Grove port. The I2C address is hardware-configurable (0x5B to 0x5D), allowing multiple sensors to be daisy-chained to expand the system up to 36 electrodes.
