The Grove 4-in-1 module based on the TMG39931 sensor integrates ambient light, RGB color, gesture recognition, and proximity detection. It communicates with Arduino or compatible microcontrollers via a standard I²C interface.
The Grove 4-in-1 Light, Gesture, Color, and Proximity Sensor module is built around the TMG39931 IC, integrating four optical functions into a single compact device. It offers advanced gesture recognition, proximity detection, ambient light sensing (ALS), and RGB color measurement. Using integrated directional photodiodes and an internal IR LED, the sensor converts physical environmental data into digital information transmitted over the I²C bus.
This module is designed for seamless integration with Arduino or Raspberry Pi projects. It connects directly to any Grove-compatible port (such as a Base Shield or Mega Shield) via the included 4-wire cable. The built-in UV and IR blocking filters, combined with high sensitivity, ensure accurate readings even when mounted behind dark glass.
