The EasyDriver V4 is a bipolar stepper motor driver based on the A3967. It accepts 7-30V motor power and 3.3V/5V logic. Features adjustable microstepping and accessible control pins for enhanced project flexibility.
The EasyDriver is a simple-to-use stepper motor driver based on the Allegro A3967 IC. It is compatible with any controller capable of generating a digital pulse (0 to 5V or 0 to 3.3V if jumper SJ2 is soldered). The board requires an external power supply of 7V to 30V for the motor and includes an onboard regulator for the logic interface.
This V4 revision, co-designed with Brian Schmalz, provides expanded control by breaking out the microstep select pins (MS1, MS2) as well as Sleep and Enable functions. It drives bipolar stepper motors (4, 6, or 8 wires) with high precision.
Note: Do not connect or disconnect a motor while the driver is powered to avoid damaging the A3967 IC.
