Chainable RGB LED Twig based on the P9813 chip, a full-color LED driver offering constant current drive and 256 gray levels. Wire transmission (DATA and CLK) with built-in recycling to extend chaining distance.
The Grove - Chainable RGB LED V1.1 is based on the P9813 chip, a full-color LED driver that provides constant current drive and modulated output with 256 shades of gray per channel. It features three integrated constant-current drivers for the Red, Green, and Blue components.
Communication uses a two-wire serial protocol (DATA and CLK), allowing multiple modules to be easily chained in cascade. The built-in clock regeneration ensures reliable transmission even over longer distances. This module is ideal for projects requiring colorful status indicators, backlighting, or LED decorations.
Library: Use the ChainableLED library for Arduino to control colors via HSB/HSV color space. Visit the Seeed Studio wiki page for more information and code examples.
