The M5Stack Unit ID is an expansion unit based on the ATECC608B hardware cryptographic coprocessor. It provides secure key storage, certificate management, and device authentication capabilities for IoT projects within the M5Stack ecosystem.
Featuring an I2C interface, it connects seamlessly to M5Stack main units (Core, CoreS3, Fire, etc.) via Unit ports. The module includes a hardware Random Number Generator (RNG) and allows for the protected storage of up to 16 keys or certificates, safeguarding sensitive data against tampering.
