Description

MP2315, MP2307, MP1584EN series: easy, simple, high efficiency, and safe. This is the USB version.

Board Features:

  • Maximum output current of 3A (2.1A continuous), with sufficient margin.
  • New design: no electrolytic or tantalum capacitors required (short lifespan, explosion risk). Uses high-end large-size solid-state ceramic capacitors (MCC), 3pcs.
  • Very low ripple: 12V to 5V at 3A is only around 10 mV. Many rivals reach 500 mV or more, causing invisible damage or serious equipment malfunction. Devices like the iPhone are very delicate.
  • New solution uses synchronous rectification for very high conversion efficiency: up to 97.5% (6.5V to 5V at 0.7A), and 94% for 12V to 5V at 1A, unlike some peers with only 60-70% efficiency. (Efficiency tests exclude voltage drop across input reverse-polarity protection diodes and fuses).
  • Uses flat copper inductors to maximize conversion efficiency and reduce heat.
  • First with output over-voltage protection: 1.5A input fuse and 5V 300W TVS tube for over-voltage clamping to protect USB devices. Most peer USB buck modules lack this protection, posing a significant security risk for your phones and other USB devices.
  • Latest USB identification circuit, perfectly compatible with iPhone, the vast majority of Android mobile phones, and iPad.
  • Short gold-plated edge USB connector, long life, superior to normal USB interfaces.
  • Output voltage indicator (red). Ultra-small size: 26.4 (L) x 15 (W) x 7.4 (H) mm.
  • Input reverse polarity protection diode: reversing input polarity will not damage the circuit. (Our efficiency tests ignore the input diode and fuse voltage drop).
  • Ultra-low quiescent current: 0.85 mA. Can be connected to a car battery without an additional switch, via the cigarette lighter line or ACC power line.

Board Specifications:

  • Input voltage: DC 6-24V, Output voltage: 5.1-5.2V
  • Output current: maximum 3A (full load, watch for heat). Actual test: 12V input, 2A output with no special cooling.
  • Conversion efficiency: up to 97.5% (6.5V to 5V at 0.7A) (test value after short-circuit, reverse polarity protection, and fuse).
  • Switching frequency: 500KHz
  • Output ripple: around 10mV (12V to 5V at 3A…[TRUNCATED]
