The Sharp GP2Y0A41SK0F infrared distance sensor is a compact analog module designed to measure distances between 4 and 30 cm. It emits modulated infrared light that reflects off the detected obstacle; a photodiode receives this signal, and the internal circuit converts the distance into a proportional output voltage.
