Compact RTC module based on the DS1307ZN+ chip, designed for Raspberry Pi and Arduino microcontrollers. It maintains accurate time via the I2C bus and a CR1220 backup battery, even during power outages.
The DS1307ZN+ Real-Time Clock (RTC) module is a compact solution for maintaining accurate time and date on your Raspberry Pi or Arduino-based projects, even when the main power supply is disconnected. Using the I2C bus, it integrates seamlessly with the Raspberry Pi's dedicated GPIO pins (GPIO 2/3) or any compatible microcontroller board via two digital lines.
The circuit features the Maxim Integrated DS1307ZN+ chip and a holder for a CR1220 coin cell battery. It counts seconds, minutes, hours, days, dates, months, and years, with leap-year compensation valid until 2100. A programmable square-wave output allows you to generate external interrupt or clock signals at selectable frequencies.
