The AD597ARZ is a monolithic temperature set-point controller optimized for high-temperature environments, such as oven control applications. It integrates cold junction compensation and amplifies the signal from a Type J or K thermocouple to generate an internal voltage proportional to the measured temperature.

The device compares this internal signal against an external reference voltage, providing a low-impedance switched output for control loops. Alternatively, it can be configured as a standalone linear temperature sensor with a 10 mV/°C output. Switching hysteresis is programmable via a single external resistor.
