The ESP-201 is an evaluation board based on the ESP8266 wireless processor, designed to simplify the integration of Wi-Fi connectivity into your IoT projects. Unlike the popular ESP-01 which exposes only two GPIO pins, the ESP-201 breaks out 11 usable input/output pins, offering significantly greater flexibility for prototyping.
This module stands out with its IPX connector for an external antenna, allowing you to improve Wi-Fi signal range compared to modules with integrated PCB antennas. It comes with standard 2.54 mm male headers, making it breadboard-friendly (though the spacing between the two rows of pins may require a simple manual adjustment). An ideal replacement for the ESP-01 when you need more I/O without dealing with surface-mount soldering.
