16 Channel 12-bit PWM Servo Drive, I2C PCA9685 R2. Control up to 16 servos or LEDs using only two MCU pins (SDA/SCL). R2 version features a resistor network and optimized layout.

Quantity

Control 16 free-running PWM outputs using only two pins (SDA/SCL) from your microcontroller.

This breakout board, based on the PCA9685 integrated circuit, allows for precise management of multiple actuators or LEDs. You can chain up to 62 modules to control a large number of outputs (up to 992) on a single I2C bus.

Specifications

  • I2C Interface: PWM driver with built-in clock, freeing the MCU from continuous refresh tasks.
  • 5V Logic Supply: Compatible with 3.3V microcontrollers while supporting outputs up to 6V (suitable for white/blue LEDs).
  • Multi-addressing: 6 address select pins allow connecting up to 62 modules on the same bus.
  • Adjustable Frequency: Up to approximately 1.6 kHz.
  • 12-bit Resolution: Provides about 4 µs precision for servos at 60 Hz.
  • Configurable Outputs: Push-pull or open-drain modes.
  • Enable Pin: Allows quick disabling of all outputs.
  • On-board Resistors: 220 Ω resistors for direct LED driving.

The R2 version features a resistor network and optimized board layout. Two additional pins (V+ and VCC) are provided, shorted by default to use the same power source.
