This is a developement kit, and as such we won't be responsible for any damage incurred from its use. Since you can open and reprogram this device as you want (with any usb/uart adapter as it is an ESP8266), this hasn't passed certifications due for home use.

Technical information :
When you oopen it, you will see pins ready for programming (tx/rx/gnd/vcc), when you use them don't plug the socket ! You can reprogram is using an usb uart adapter and any firmware for esp8266 (micro python, lua, or arduino for example).
