Technical information:

When you open it, you will see pins ready for programming (tx/rx/gnd/vcc). Do not plug the socket when using these pins! You can reprogram it using a USB UART adapter and any firmware for the ESP8266 (MicroPython, Lua, or Arduino, for example).
